This is a permanent position and you must be 18 years of age or over and be able to work Saturdays &/or Sundays with us, our busiest time Summary Baristas - Coffee - Espresso Trainees are mainly responsible for making and serving beverages to customers at Uncle G's Marketplace.
This position will greet customers and prepare and serve beverages and selected food items that the customer has chosen.
Serving the customer with a smile and a friendly approach is necessary while performing all job functions and duties.
Responsibilities The Barista will greet customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders Will prepare and serve beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones The Barista will prepare and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries Answering customers' questions about menu choices Promoting and recommending menu options to customers The Barista is responsible for processing payment from customers Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs The Barista will keep the work environment sanitary and organized Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service The Barista will work to attract new customers and expanding the menu Additional duties and functions as assigned Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Excellent listening and communication skills Focus on customer satisfaction Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages Must be efficient and organized Ability to build good relationships with customers to expand repeat customer business Maintain a clean work environment Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime Additional Information This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions.

Working Conditions Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces.
There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds.
May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.
Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard.
There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions Job Type:
