Summary The Catering Clerk-Catering Driver is responsible for providing exemplary customer service while maintaining the safety of customers and team members.
The Catering Clerk will exceed customer needs and expectations by providing efficient, accurate and pleasant check-out service and catering shopping assistance.
As Catering Driver, the individual will be responsible for delivering and setting up the world's best gourmet food quickly and safely from our kitchens to client's homes or offices.
The Catering Driver must operate our vehicle according to all local, state, and federal regulations and maintain a vehicle in a manner capable of carrying large quantities of food.
Responsibilities Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe the company uniform policy Arrive on time and in uniform for all scheduled shifts Clock in and out for each scheduled shift and shift break Demonstrate the core values of Uncle Giuseppe's Observe all Loss Prevention Policies Pack items pertaining to orders and get ready for delivery Assisting where need during slow months Delivering food to customers premise Setting up catering for client if need be Prepare foods for catering or deli when not making deliveries Maintain a clean and neat workstation Adhere to all local, state and federal guidelines and laws Comply with safety policies and procedures Taking orders from customers either in person or over the phones ensuring the right amount of food is ordered Ensure payments are received Processing online orders Pack catering orders Pack productions tickets such as paper goods and condiments Setting up in store demos.
Assist in maintaining back-room efficiency by unloading/loading catering related deliveries and orders Provide exemplary customer service and greet guests in a friendly manner Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines Other duties and functions as assigned Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years or older Prior catering experience working in a fast paced environment is preferred Ability to work in varying temperatures Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way Ability to work cooperatively with others Ability to operate all equipment customarily used by the Food Service Department and other equipment as may be required Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies Additional Skills and

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Must be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to handle sales transactions, tender change, and reconciling media with total sales.
Must have the ability to be even-tempered, patient and understanding.
Must have the ability to hear, speak and understand the spoken word in order to respond promptly to assist customers and co-workers.
