years medical practice billing experience - ophthalmology preferred, but not required.
ASC billing a plus!Duties:
Prepare and file all insurance claims, obtain prior authorizations and review and follow up on all incorrect payments or denialsFollow up with insurance companies and insurance adjusters to ensure timely and accurate paymentWork aging reports and other monthly reportsPost all incoming patient and insurance paymentsFollow up on accounts receivable claims, appeals and denialsComplete all patient/insurance follow up and collections on past due accountsAnswer patient calls and billing inquiriesRequirements:

years medical billing experience with a medical practice - ophthalmology specialty preferredFull understanding of the billing cycle to include all aspects of registration and billingUnderstand documentation, claim filing, payment postingStrong attention to detail and ability to multi-taskEnjoys working with team, but also able to work independently
