This position is being filled under the Pathways Recent Graduates Program . The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experience in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have within the previous two years, graduated from a qualifying educational institution or program. Exceptions to the two-year limit may be made for applicants who graduated between 12/27/2010 and 7/10/2012, and for veterans precluded from applying within two years of graduation due to their military service obligation (those veterans have up to six years after degree completion to apply). If you do not meet one of these criteria you will not be considered for this announcement.

Recent Graduates selected for this position will serve in a 2 year development program.
This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Eatontown, NJ. This is a developmental position designated to provide training and practical experience in the contract management series and it is intended to lead to the Contract Specialist, 1102 series. After successful completion of the program requirements, the individual may at the agency''s discretion, be converted to a term or permanent appointment.
