Description Installs and repairs Cablevision s video and on-line products. Performs installs, disconnects, reconnects, relocations, changes of service, etc. Services equipment from the tap to the customer s devices through the use of advanced digital field meter and diagnostic equipment. Determines root cause and solution on advanced technologies that include but are not limited to HDTV, EDTV, HDMI, DVI, Component, Composite, DV, S-Video, Interlaced and Progressive Scan Signals. Maintains all stock and work-related supplies in an organized, professional and safe manner and audits serialized assets. Ensures all work-related equipment and vehicles are utilized and maintained in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring all work-related tasks are performed in compliance with Cablevision and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Acts as a customer advocate by ensuring complete customer satisfaction by diligently resolving all reasonable customer requests relating to the installation and service of our products and educates customers in the use of our products. Advises customers on payment options, will handle cash and verify credit card payments and may serve as the final collector prior to disconnect.
Qualifications Successful candidates will possess an Associates or Bachelor''s degree, 60
college credits or technical/trade school certification or military service in lieu of education.
In addition, 1
years of hands-on field experience in telecommunications or other mechanical trade experience and working at various heights is preferred with the ability to climb ladders and stairs on a frequent basis.
Basic knowledge of electricity and electronics is strongly preferred.
Candidates must possess previous experience in desktop software installation and hardware set-up, home networking and the use and configuration of wireless devices. Strong written, verbal communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are needed.
Must be able to see with near and far acuity and depth perception for the entire work day as well as distinguish colors and cannot be color deficient.
Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and work overtime as required as is a valid state driver s license.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment assessment.
