DevOps Engineer

Essential Functions:
Spend part of your time developing automation and tools to support multiple contracts.
Digging into the infrastructure and remediating problems around availability, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
Researching and implementing the best services and tools to increase efficiency and provide better products
ESP is embracing the concept known as DevOps. Developers release their own code, manage their own monitoring and alerting, and are the first line of support to triage their software.
Possible Work Locations: Eatontown, NJ or Killeen, TX with the option for partial telecommuting at either location

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front a computer.
Position requires candidate to be able to work beyond the normal work day to support any computer issues, servers, and network emergency issues that may arise
Must be willing to be on on-call rotation.
Required Experience:
Candidates should meet the required experience in order to be fully considered for this opportunity:
3-5 years experience as a developer with a desire to learn the best practices of systems automation.
Comfortability with UNIX command line
Experience with JavaScript frameworks (ExtJS, jQuery, node.js)
Experience with tools such as Grunt, Jenkins, JSLint, Codenarc, Compass
Knowledge of the modern stack including caching, load balancers, webservers, SQL databases, and cloud services.
Experience with Grails, JavaScript and/or Java (but other languages work, too.)
Experience with MySQL, SQLServer
A desire to learn about new tools, technologies, and methods for improving throughput.
Education: H.S. Diploma with technical certification, College degree preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
